Who is eligible for Work for Warriors Nevada services?
Work for Warriors Nevada serves eligible Veterans, Nevada National Guard members, Reservists, Gold Star families, and eligible military family members. Eligibility is verified using appropriate military documentation, such as a DD214 for Veterans or a valid DEERS identification card for eligible dependents.

How does your resume assistance work?
Resume assistance is one of our primary services.For eligible clients who need a first resume, Work for Warriors Nevada can help develop the resume with them in person at a Nevada National Guard armory or by phone. We also review existing resumes, recommend changes, help translate military experience into civilian language, and teach clients how to tailor resumes for specific positions.Resume strategies may differ depending on whether you're applying for private-sector, State of Nevada, or federal employment, and our team can help you understand those differences.
Can you help with state, federal, and private-sector applications?
Yes. Work for Warriors Nevada helps eligible Veterans, National Guard members, Reservists, and military family members navigate State of Nevada, federal, and private-sector employment opportunities. We provide one-on-one assistance with job searches, applications, and resumes, including guidance on tailoring your resume to the different requirements of state, federal, and private-sector employers.
Does Work for Warriors Nevada work with employers directly?
Yes. Work for Warriors Nevada works directly with employers, government agencies, counties, and community partners throughout Nevada that are seeking qualified candidates. We promote employment opportunities to our military and Veteran community and connect eligible, qualified applicants directly with employers. Work for Warriors Nevada is not a staffing agency and does not make hiring or placement decisions.
Do you offer workshops and employment events?
Yes. Work for Warriors Nevada offers both in-person and virtual employment workshops covering topics such as resume development, job searching, and interview preparation. We also host hiring and resource events that connect qualified Veterans, National Guard members, Reservists, and military family members with employers and Veteran service programs. Our team also participates in employment and community events throughout Nevada to connect the military and Veteran community with employment resources and opportunities. Do you serve all of Nevada?
Yes. Work for Warriors Nevada provides employment services statewide to eligible Veterans, National Guard members, Reservists, Gold Star families and military family members. Our team supports clients throughout Northern and Southern Nevada, including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Las Vegas, and surrounding communities.
Does Work for Warriors Nevada provide job training?
Work for Warriors Nevada primarily provides employment preparation and employment assistance rather than occupational or vocational job training. Services include resume development, job-search assistance, career coaching, interview preparation, workshops, and employer connections. When clients need training or services outside our program, our team can refer them to an appropriate community or workforce partner.
How do I get started with Work for Warriors Nevada?
Eligible Nevada Veterans, National Guard members, Reservists, Gold Star families and military family members can begin by completing the Work for Warriors Nevada registration form.
After registration and eligibility verification, clients will be connected with an available Veteran Employment Coordinator for individualized employment assistance.
